1 person dead after a bicycle crash in North Las Vegas (North Las Vegas, NV)

One person was killed after a two-vehicle accident Sunday in North Las Vegas.

As per the initial information, the fatal bicycle crash took place on Dorrell Lane and Bostick Weir Street. Authorities actively responded to the scene at about 8:22 a.m. on reports of a crash. The early reports showed that an eastbound black SUV on Dorrell Lane and a southbound bicyclist on Bostick Weir Street collided with each other for unknown reasons.

On arrival, responders immediately took the bicyclist to UMC where he was pronounced dead. The female driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Speed is believed to be involved in the crash. Impairment is not considered to be a factor. No other details are available.

The incident remains under review.
