On Thursday, one person died following a motorcycle accident in North County.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle collision took place on El Norte Parkway near Ivy Street, east of I-15, in Escondido in which a car and a motorcycle were involved. On arrival, emergency responders declared the motorcyclist dead.

Officials did not report any other injuries as a result of the accident. A portion of El Norte Parkway was closed from Broadway Street as crews worked at the crash scene. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time.

The incident remains under active review.
