Authorities identified 32-year-old Joseph Warren McIntosh as the man who was killed following a crash early Saturday morning on Campbell Avenue in Tucson.
Authorities actively responded to the 2900 block of N. Campbell Avenue, just north of Glenn Street at about 4:30 a.m. after a DUI officer saw a crash involving a pedestrian and a silver 2008 Toyota Yaris. Tucson Fire medics also responded to render aid to the pedestrian, but he was declared dead at the scene.
The investigation reports showed that McIntosh was trying to cross Campbell from east to west, when he was hit by a Toyota Yaris that was traveling northbound. The driver stopped and remained at the scene. The driver was not impaired at the time of the collision. The victim’s next of kin has been notified. No other details are available.
An investigation continues.
