According to the Georgia State Patrol, a good Samaritan saved 4 lives after a truck veered off the road and was engulfed in flames.
The driver of the truck, Steven Wild, and his three grandkids, were heading down Georgia Highway 46 in his F-250. Wild fell asleep on the journey that led to the crash.
Officials reported the truck hauling a dozen cattle shifted into the opposite lane near the Candler County line. It then rolled over before bursting into flames.
A passing vehicle driven by Sam Pitout, spotted the smoke and rescued the four trapped inside the truck. Shortly after they were pulled out, the entire truck burst into flames.
The investigation is ongoing.
