In a tragic multi-vehicle accident, a deadly wrong-way crash on Interstate 30 in west Fort Worth resulted in the closure of eastbound lanes for nearly 13 hours. The fatal crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. near Lockheed Boulevard.
A Dodge Caravan traveling west in the eastbound lanes collided with an 18-wheeler heading east. One victim was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. Three others were found to be critically injured, according to MedStar. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
Fort Worth police, responding to a wrong-way driver report at 2:32 a.m., found the grim scene. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
