A woman lost her life after a two-vehicle accident early Saturday morning in Austin.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash was reported at about 2:23 a.m. in the 3000-3500 block of South I-35 southbound, across the street from St. Edwards University near St. Edwards Drive. The preliminary reports showed that a woman in her 20s was driving a motorcycle on I-35 South when she was hit by an 18-wheeler. Due to the impact, she fell from the motorbike.

Authorities believe that she was then hit by at least two other vehicles on the road. The woman was pronounced dead on scene at 2:40 a.m. The drivers involved stopped and cooperated with the investigators. No further details are available.

The accident remains under investigation.
