One person killed after a motorcycle accident on U.S. 281 north of Marble Falls (Marble Falls, TX)

A motorcyclist died following a traffic accident on U.S. 281 north of Marble Falls.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place at about 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, on U.S. 281 just north of Marble Falls, close to the Honey Creek Quarry and south of Park Road 4. At this time, it is unknown how many vehicles were involved in the accident.

The five-lane stretch of highway was reduced to one lane with alternating traffic flow while crews worked to clear the scene. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
