Officials identified 37-year-old Joel White who died after a motorcycle accident in Alameda (Alameda, CA)

On Tuesday, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office coroner’s bureau identified 37-year-old Joel White, of Alameda, as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident last weekend just outside the Posey Tube.

As per the initial information, officials actively responded to the 2200 block of Webster Street just after 1 a.m. Saturday after getting reports of a motorcycle crash. On arrival, they found an unconscious man in the road. Despite the life-saving efforts, the man was declared dead at the scene.

The preliminary reports showed that White was thrown from the motorcycle after losing control, and was hit by a second vehicle, whose driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. It is unknown whether alcohol or substances were involved in the collision. No other information is available.

An investigation is ongoing.
