A man lost his life after a crash Thursday in Benicia.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle accident took place on Lopes Road near the Marshview Road intersection parallel to Interstate Highway 680. The preliminary reports showed that a male motorcyclist, from Benicia, was heading south on Lopes Road when he was “ejected” while negotiating a left turn.
Responders arrived on the scene at about 7:30 p.m. and the motorcycle rider was pronounced dead. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol and drugs were involved in the crash. No further details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
