On Wednesday, a woman lost her life after getting struck by a vehicle on the Northeast Side.
The fatal incident took place at about 10 p.m. on O’Connor Road near Weidner Road. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was riding her motorcycle when another vehicle cut off her vehicle. Just then, she failed to maintain control of her motorcycle when she veered to miss the vehicle and crashed.
She managed to get to her feet, but a car hit her. That car fled the scene after hitting the woman. Officers are looking for the hit-and-run vehicle. The woman suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials.
The incident remains under active review.
