On Monday morning, a man lost his life while three other people suffered injuries following a high-speed crash on I-75.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle accident took place at about 7:30 a.m. on Interstate 75 SB, close to West Paces Ferry Road. The preliminary investigation revealed that the car was going at a high rate of speed when the driver failed to maintain control of the vehicle and smashed into a tree.
The female passenger as well as a man and woman were the back seat passengers of the car. They were all transported to Grady Hospital with major injuries. It is unknown who was driving the car. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
