9-year-old girl and another injured after a motorcycle crash in Marietta (Marietta, GA)

On Saturday afternoon, a man and a 9-year-old girl suffered injuries following a two-vehicle accident in Marietta.

As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash took place on Delk Road at Franklin Gateway. The preliminary reports showed that a 9-year-old girl was riding on a motorcycle with a man when a Honda Accord crossed their path. The driver of the car was waiting to turn onto Franklin Gateway when they exited the turn lane and tried to go over several westbound lanes.

Just then, the Honda entered the path of the motorcycle as it approached the intersection, causing the motorcycle to crash into the car. The force of the collision threw the man and his 9-year-old female passenger from the motorcycle. On arrival, medical personnel transported both the victims to the hospital in serious condition. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation is ongoing.
