Tragedy unfolded in central Phoenix as a woman succumbed to injuries sustained in a car crash on Tuesday, according to authorities. The Phoenix Police Department reported a three-vehicle collision around 11 a.m. near 7th Avenue and Thomas Road.
Among the injured individuals, one was transported to the hospital but tragically passed away. Identified as 86-year-old Gladyce Thorson Nielsen, the victim lost her life due to the severity of her injuries.
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash, seeking to determine its cause and any contributing factors. Authorities are working diligently to bring clarity to this tragic multi-vehicle accident.
