82-year-old Robert Craig hospitalized after a motorcycle crash in Napa County (Napa County, CA)

Authorities identified 82-year-old Robert Craig as the man who suffered injuries following a two-vehicle accident on Monday morning in Napa County.

As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash took place at about 9:45 a.m. on Highway 128 and Tubbs Lane. The early reports showed that Craig was traveling west on his Yamaha along Highway 128.

At the same time, a man driving a Dodge van made a left turn from Tubbs Lane onto the highway and went directly into the path of the motorcycle. Just then, the right front of the van crashed into the right side of the motorcycle.

Due to the impact, Craig was thrown from his motorcycle. On arrival, emergency crews rushed Craig to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, but he is expected to survive. Neither driver was suspected of intoxicated or distracted driving. No other details are available.

The crash remains under investigation.
