78-year-old man succumbs to his injuries after a motorcycle crash in northwest valley (Las Vegas, NV)

On Wednesday, authorities confirmed that a 78-year-old man died of injuries he suffered following a two-vehicle collision on Saturday afternoon in the northwest valley.

The fatal motorcycle crash took place on N. Rancho Drive north of W. Gowan Road. According to the investigation reports, a 2016 Ford Escape was leaving a private drive and making a right northbound turn onto Rancho when it traveled into the path of a 2007 Harley Davidson and led to the collision.

On arrival, emergency crews rushed the motorcycle rider to UMC Trauma and he was in the ICU until he was declared dead by medical staff. The driver of the Ford stayed at the scene and did not display any signs of impairment. No other details are made available.

The crash remains under review.
