78-Year-Old Charles Landreth Killed In A Motorcycle Accident In Lake Elsinore (Lake Elsinore, CA)

The California Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident in Lake Elsinore on Monday. The accident occurred on the Ortega Highway, just west of Grand Avenue at around 1:35 p.m. 

According to the officials, a single motorcycle was involved in the collision. A 2005 Suzuki Boulevard was headed down the road when it entered a sweeping turn. The driver lost control which caused the vehicle to crash into the metal guardrail. 

The driver was thrown off the motorcycle and was fatally injured. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have since identified the victim as 78-year-old Charles Landreth. 

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role.
