A fatal crash on Tucson’s west side has resulted in the death of a woman. Just after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 7th, Tucson Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of N Oracle Rd. and W Wetmore Rd.
Two women, the driver and a passenger of a blue Toyota Camry, sustained life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized. Sadly, on Saturday, 74-year-old Sharon Ann Green, the passenger in the Toyota, succumbed to her injuries.
TPD revealed that the driver’s condition remains undisclosed. Detectives determined that the Toyota driver attempted a left turn onto W. Wetmore Rd., colliding with a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban. Impairment was ruled out, but the traffic signal sequence at the time remains unknown.
The Suburban’s 19-year-old driver was hospitalized as a precaution. The investigation continues on this multi-vehicle accident, with no charges or citations issued yet.
