According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a motorcycle accident occurred in Hopkins County on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened eastbound on Farm to Market Road 71.
According to the investigators, a Honda motorcycle and 73-year-old Bobby Wilson were involved in the collision. The officials stated that Bobby ran off the road going around a corner and struck a concrete culvert.
Bobby suffered significant injuries and was transported to the hospital but was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The Hopkins County Police are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed played a factor in the crash.
