72-year-old Raymond Lindsey killed after a motorcycle crash on I-40 exit in Nashville (Nashville, TN)

Authorities identified 72-year-old Raymond Lindsey, of Surgoinsville, as the man who lost his life following a single-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon in Nashville.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place on Interstate 40 at 3:45 p.m. The preliminary investigation revealed that Raymond Lindsey was riding his Indian Roadster west on Interstate 40 when he took the exit onto Briley Parkway South.

The rider failed to negotiate the curve and slammed into a retaining wall. The man received major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no sign of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene. No other details are made available.

The crash remains under review.
