The California Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident in La Mesa last week. The accident occurred on the westbound lanes of Interstate 8, east of Jackson Drive at around 8:48 p.m.
According to the officials, a Harley Davidson was headed west on the highway when the driver lost control. This caused the vehicle to overturn and throw off the driver.
The driver was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. The officials have confirmed that they suspect alcohol to have played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
