A 65-year-old man lost his life in Arlington on Saturday following a collision between his motorcycle and a car. The fatal crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of Matlock Road and East Bardin Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the unresponsive motorcycle driver lying in the roadway. Unfortunately, he was fatally injured and was pronounced dead in the motorcycle accident. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the man’s identity after notifying his next of kin.
Investigation findings indicate that the man was heading north on Matlock Road. His motorcycle collided with a Lexus ES 300 sedan making a left turn from southbound Matlock Road to eastbound Bardin Road. Despite having a green light, the impact, possibly exacerbated by high speed and the absence of a helmet, ejected the motorcyclist from his vehicle.
