64-year-old William Hanselman hospitalized after a motorcycle crash in Lubbock (Lubbock, TX)

Authorities identified 64-year-old William Hanselman as the man who suffered injuries following a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday morning in Lubbock.

As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash was reported at 9:20 a.m. near the Marsha Sharp Freeway and Avenue Q. The early reports showed that a motorcycle and a passenger car were involved in the accident. On arrival, emergency personnel rushed Hanselman to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area. Avenue Q was initially closed as crews worked at the scene, but was back open later along with traffic on the MSF eastbound access road. No other details are immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
