The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motorcycle accident in Midland County on Monday morning. The accident occurred on FM 1208, nine miles west of Stanton.
According to the officials, a 2021 Harley Davidson was headed north on the highway and was approaching a bridge. The driver of the motorcycle lost control and crashed into a curb.
The driver was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have identified him to be 58-year-old Cary Don Griggs. The passenger on the motorcycle was taken to a hospital with injuries.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
