57-year-old Gregory Lober died after a motorcycle crash in St. Tammany Parish (Lacombe, LA)

Authorities identified 57-year-old Gregory Lober as the victim who was killed following a two-vehicle accident in Lacombe.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place in St. Tammany Parish. The preliminary reports showed that a motorcycle ridden by Gregory Lober was heading eastbound when, for unknown reasons, a northbound Toyota Tacoma tried to turn left into the opposing westbound lane as a result of both vehicles collided.

Lober was wearing a DOT-approved helmet, but he received major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The driver of the Toyota was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision and was not hurt. Toxicology samples were taken from both drivers as part of the ongoing investigation, but the results are unknown at this time. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
