In a tragic incident on US Highway 67 in Coleman County, a Santa Anna man lost his life in a fatal crash. Daniel Siller Jr., 57, died following the midnight collision on Saturday, March 16th, four miles east of Santa Anna.
The Department of Public Safety reported that Siller turned onto US 67 in front of an approaching Ford F250, resulting in his vehicle being struck from behind. Both Siller and the other driver, 19-year-old Cooper Cash Jacobs, also from Santa Anna, were taken to Coleman County Medical Center.
Sadly, Siller was pronounced dead at the medical center, while Jacobs sustained non-incapacitating injuries. Further details regarding the crash were not disclosed by the DPS as the investigation into the incident continues.
