A fatal crash in Ector County claimed the life of 57-year-old Christopher Earl Sterling of Springfield, Ohio, on January 13 at 4:12 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The preliminary information from the traffic report reveals that a 2001 Toyota Tacoma, turning left onto 16th Street from southbound Palomino Avenue, was struck from behind by a 2023 Harley Davidson FLHX traveling eastbound along 16th Street.

Christopher Sterling, the Harley Davidson driver, was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. Sterling was not reported as wearing a helmet, and there were no injuries reported by the Toyota Tacoma driver. The motorcycle accident is under investigation.
