According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Sunday in Watsonville. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident. Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Murphy Road, on Highway 129.
The driver of a 1998 Harley Davidson was travelling westbound when a woman driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla struck the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a trauma care facility. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. His identity is not yet known at this time.
Other insights into the collision are yet to be determined. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
