The Wichita Falls Police Department reported a motorcycle accident that occurred on Saturday. The officials confirmed that one person died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim was identified as 54-year-old Brian Dennis Lockwood.
The crash happened when the motorcycle was travelling westbound on the freeway when it left the roadway onto the centre median. The victim lost control of the motorcycle, slid down the median, and possibly flipped prior to landing in the pond. The victim was thrown from the motorcycle.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
