According to the San Diego Police Department, a motorcycle crash was reported on Tuesday in San Diego. Officials confirmed that one person was critically injured due to the hit-and-run crash. Authorities stated that the collision occurred at the intersection of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and Kearny Villa Road.
The victim drove his motorcycle into the intersection at a green light. The driver of another vehicle struck the motorcyclist and sped away from the scene. The 53-year-old motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with a fractured left ankle and fractured ribs.
Further insights into the wreck including the identity of the victim or the vehicles involved remain unknown. The involvement of alcohol has not been determined yet. The crash continues to be investigated by the SDPD.
