Authorities identified 52-year-old Craig Ross, 31-year-old Darlena Williams and 29-year-old Chron Taylor as the victims who suffered injuries following a two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning in Lubbock.
As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash was reported a little after 2 a.m. in the 400 block of 50th Street. The early reports showed that Craig Ross was driving his motorcycle east. At the intersection of 50th Street and Avenue D, the motorcycle slammed into an SUV, driven by 31-year-old Darlena Williams.
The SUV was trying to turn south onto Avenue D at that time. Ross received serious injuries and was rushed to UMC for treatment. Williams and her passenger, identified as 29-year-old Chron Taylor, incurred only minor injuries. Both eastbound and westbound lanes of 50th Street were shut down as crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
