According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported in Napa County. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred along Butts Canyon Road, northeast of Calistoga. A 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle drifted eastwards for unknown reasons.
It subsequently went down a hill and then overturned. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 51-year-old Ronnie Boyd Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The other traveller on the motorcycle was identified as 52-year-old Dena Boyd.
Dena was transported to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital sustaining injuries. Other insights pertaining to the accident are yet to be determined.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
