Carson County authorities reported a fatal crash involving a motorcycle on Monday on the I-40.
Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident that occurred at about 6.45 p.m, east of Conway.
Preliminary investigations point to the driver of a 2006 Yamaha XVA motorcycle losing control of his motorcycle at a curve in the road. As a result of this, the motorcycle landed on its right side and flipped over. The driver of the motorcycle, identified as 49-year-old Joshua Ethridge, was taken to an Amarillo hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Other insights pertaining to the accident are yet to be determined. No information concerning possible impairment has been disclosed thus far.
The crash continues to be investigated by the Texas Highway Patrol.
