Representatives from the Whatcom County state troopers report that a motorcycle accident claimed the life of 1 person on Saturday after 6 PM.
The motorcyclist, identified as Jonathan R. Carter, 49, died on the I-5 when was northbound entering Bellingham. Carter allegedly lost control of his vehicle during a lane change and landed in the median where he subsequently lost his life.
The causes remain under investigation, and it is unknown if impairment was a factor in this incident.
