The Washington State Patrol had previously reported a motorcycle accident in Fife last week. The accident occurred on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 at around 3:20 a.m.
According to the officials, a motorcycle was headed north when it was hit from behind by a car. The driver of the motorcycle was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. She has since been identified as 48-year-old Morgan M Baker.
The driver of the other vehicle had initially fled the scene before the police could arrive. However, the man had later come back and turned himself in. His identity has not been disclosed at this time. He has been described as an Auburn man in his 20s.
The fatal crash is still being investigated. There are no other details available at this time.
