A tragic incident unfolded in Atlanta as a pursuit by law enforcement resulted in the death of an innocent woman, Tamara Taylor, 43. Georgia State Patrol (GSP) charged Ryan Hicks, 31, with a series of offenses, including murder, in connection to the incident.
The pursuit began when a GSP trooper attempted to stop a pickup truck, previously involved in another chase, on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The chase ensued onto I-285 and concluded on Campbellton and Barge roads, where the pickup truck collided with Taylor’s vehicle, causing her death.
GSP clarified that there was no contact between the suspect’s and the trooper’s vehicles before or during the chase.
