According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported in Oceanside. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred near Jefferson Street. The deceased motorcyclist was identified as 43-year-old Jacob Lee Terro. Terro was riding eastwards on his Buell motorcycle when he suddenly crossed onto the right shoulder of the freeway.
As a result of this, he was ejected from the moving vehicle and thrown onto the highway. Terro was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
The cause behind Terro’s loss of control is yet to be determined. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
