According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Sunday afternoon in Napa Valley. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred northbound on Tubbs Lane, outside Calistoga. A 42-year-old motorcyclist made an unsafe turn and lost control of the vehicle.
This resulted in the motorcycle crashing. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Adventist Health St. Helena Hospital where he was later pronounced dead due to his severe injuries.
Other insights into the collision including the identity of the victim remain unknown. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
