According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday in Lakewood. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred just north of South Street. A vehicle struck a motorcyclist while going down the roadway, and overturned.
The motorcyclist was identified as 42-year-old Kenneth Richards. Richards was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
Two other people were transported to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center sustaining injuries. Other insights pertaining to the collision are yet to be determined.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
