Late Saturday evening, a tragic motorcycle crash claimed the life of a 42-year-old man, identified as Jesse Kelly from Arizona in Las Cruces. Around 10:40 p.m., authorities responded to a report of the fatal crash on North Main Street near Oban Court.
Kelly, who was critically injured, lost control of his motorcycle around a curve, striking the centre median. Despite wearing a helmet, he was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the concrete median. Transported to a local hospital, Kelly succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Speed and alcohol are suspected to be contributing factors, and no other vehicles were involved in the motorcycle accident.
