According to the Longview Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Sunday in Tyler. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the 1500 block of E. Marshall Avenue. The driver of a motorized scooter was struck by a two-tone black/gray Dodge Challenger, with black wheels.
The driver was identified as 39-year-old Carrie Evette Pickron. Pickron was transported to the hospital sustaining injuries. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Other insights pertaining to the collision are yet to be released. The crash continues to be investigated by the LPD.
