Authorities identified 38-year-old Eddy Perez as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle collision on Monday in Lancaster.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place on Business Center Parkway at the intersection with Avenue K at approximately 4:30 p.m. The preliminary investigation indicated that Perez was riding a northbound motorcycle on Business Center Parkway while a woman was driving a westbound Volkswagen on Avenue K-8 from a stop sign.
The woman made a southbound turn onto Business Center Parkway in front of the motorcyclist, causing the motorcyclist to crash into the Volkswagen. The motorcycle rider was declared dead at the scene by the officials. At this time, it is unknown if speed, alcohol or drugs contributed to the accident. No further details were provided.
The crash remains under review.
