According to the Washington State Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday night in Colfax. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred 3 miles south of Colfax, on US Highway 195. The driver of a motorcycle struck a Ford Focus while travelling on the highway.
The motorcyclist was identified as 36-year-old Russell C.Foreyt. Foreyt was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The driver of the Ford was identified as 58-year-old Robert L. Spies.
Spies was rushed to Whitman Hospital sustaining serious injuries. Other insights pertaining to the collision are yet to be determined. The crash continues to be investigated by the WSP.
