The Pomona Police Department reported a motorcycle accident on Tuesday. The accident occurred on Garey Avenue and Pearl Street at 10:34 p.m.
According to the officials, a motorcycle was involved in the collision. The motorcycle had been headed down the road when the driver lost control and crashed into the sidewalk at Garey.
The driver of the motorcycle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 33-year-old Cynthia Garcia.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
