In a tragic incident early Tuesday morning, a fatal crash occurred near Grant and Campbell in Tucson. The Tucson Police Department revealed that a multi-vehicle accident involved a grey 2011 Nissan Murano and a gold 2015 Jeep Cherokee.
The adult male driver of the Nissan Murano, identified as 33-year-old Carlsten Dale White, was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. An adult male passenger from the Nissan and an adult male and female from the Jeep suffered life-threatening injuries.
Detectives determined that excessive speed by both vehicles was a contributing factor. The investigation is ongoing, focusing on traffic light sequences and potential impairment. White and the Nissan’s passenger were not wearing seatbelts. As authorities delve into the details, no citations or charges have been issued yet.
