According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported in Watsonville. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident. Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Carlton Road.
A 2023 Honda CBR600RR racing bike was traveling down the agricultural area when it suddenly went down for unknown reasons. It slid into the path of an oncoming semi-truck. As a result of this, the motorcycle and the truck collided with one another.
The motorcyclist was identified as 30-year-old Jacqueline Bischof. Bischof was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Other information pertaining to the collision remains unknown.
The cause of the accident is yet to be determined. It is not yet known if impairment played a role. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
