On Sunday, 29-year-old Kenneth Mitchell, from Nevada City, and a 9-year-old girl suffered injuries following a two-vehicle collision near Little Deer Drive.
As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash took place at about 3:45 p.m. near Little Deer Drive. The preliminary investigation showed that Mitchell and the 9-year-old girl were riding on a motorcycle. At some point of time, Mitchell made a U-turn on the highway when a southbound vehicle hit them.
Mitchell lost his left leg as a result of the accident and the girl had a broken ankle. On the other hand, the involved vehicle had front-end damage. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
