According to the Arlington Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Monday in Arlington. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the 3700 block north of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The driver of a motorcycle lost control of his vehicle and crashed.
The driver was identified as 28-year-old Jarrin Stephens. Stephens was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
The cause of the collision was identified as excessive speed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role as well.
The crash continues to be investigated by the APD.
