Croswell police are searching for a man suspected of intentionally crashing into a motorcyclist. The motorcycle crash was reported on Harrington Road east of Eighth road in Lexington Township, Sanilac County, at around 3:25 a.m. Monday.
The rider and the motorcycle were found in a ditch.
The unidentified motorcyclist was transported to McLaren Port Huron Hospital and was later transferred to McLaren Macomb Hospital for intensive treatments.
The suspect was identified as 27-year-old Shawn Patrick Woodruff from Croswell. As last seen, he wore a black Lerma Concrete T-shirt and gray sweatpants.
Officials said the crash was on purpose, and the driver fled the scene before the deputy’s arrival.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
No additional information regarding the crash.
