In a tragic incident in Bellingham, two men lost their lives in a fatal crash that occurred around 8 p.m. on Thursday in the 1000 block of Squalicum Way.
A witness noticed debris in the road, leading to the discovery of the overturned car. Two people were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene. Both the driver and passenger, identified as 26-year-old Victor Guerra-Rico and 31-year-old Moises Ramos-Trejo Jr., were ejected from the vehicle as they weren’t wearing seatbelts. Investigators believe that excessive speed played a role in the crash.
The motor vehicle accident is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
