Phoenix Police reported a multi-vehicle accident in west Phoenix on March 19. The crash occurred near the intersection of 83rd Avenue and Thomas Road around 10:30 p.m.
According to the authorities, multiple vehicles were involved in the collision, with one speeding east on Thomas Road, while the other vehicle was heading north on 83rd Avenue. As a result, 24-year-old Sergio Vasquez was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of Vasquez’s vehicle was also hospitalised in critical condition.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
